Extended Field Trips

Our full-day field trips involve a visit to the Biomes center paired with a visit to one of three other nearby sites. All extended field trips are for grades 1 - 8. You will need to plan four hours, not including travel time to and from school. This will allow 1 1/2 hours at each location, plus half-an-hour for both lunch and travel between sites.

Large groups of 50-100 students may divide in half, each spending time at one site in the morning, and the other site after lunch. Smaller groups of 15-50 students, may stay together visiting one site in the morning and the other after lunch. Lunches may be eaten at the non-Biomes site. These field trips are available in the fall and the spring.
