    Our staff at Biomes is comprised of mature, dedicated professionals all holding degrees in the marine sciences and real world experience in the field. This deep understanding of the marine environment enables us to deliver concepts and information in an easy to understand, “user friendly” manner that engages and excites students.

RELEVANT PROGRAMS/LOCAL ANIMALS

    Our facility houses over 100 different species of local marine fish and invertebrates. When children learn about the natural wonders that live in their part of the world it makes nature more real and learning science more exciting for them. And our programs meet RI Grade Span Expectations in Life Science!

    No more worries about strangers or losing track of your students. When your class comes to Biomes, you are the only ones here! We open our doors up for you to see and experience our facility through organized field trips that keep your students submerged in learning about marine science. And you don’t have to compete with the public for space!

EXPERIENCE

    Biomes is Rhode Island’s first privately owned marine science education center. We have over 20 years of experience in educating southern New England’s schools and families, through our original programs designed by our expert staff. We also have 11 years of experience in our North Kingstown location.
